Navigate: Top -->North Bay Area -->Oat Hill Mine Road (Calistoga) -->2002 Oat Hill Ride

This was my first trip up Oat Hill and it was a real challenge. As you can see from the pictures it does get fairly brown in the summer months, but it is not as hot as it is in the central valley. On this particular occasion it was just me and Eric, who rides at about my skill level. We went to the camp and then a little further into the back country, probably about 12-13 miles total but it was a real challenge for me at the time.

This is almost the same section as the pictures I posted of Joseph and Kevin. The difference in seasons is pretty obvious.
