| My Enduro... this is a phenominal bike and I am still not certain I should have retired it. I had it for 2 years and put a huge number of miles on this bike and it took a tremendous amount of punishment. There is very little that I didn't like about it. I got the Enduro after I destroyed the Sugar because I wanted something a little more rugged. Also having the extra travel was very nice. It is no coincidence that my newest bike is very similar to the Enduro. |
When they finally returned my Sugar it had a 2002 frame with the 2001 kit and the Sugar 1 paint job. I was pretty happy the new years bike has 4" of travel which is very nice, the 2001 only had 2.8". When I eventually cracked this frame on the chainstay they only replaced the rear triangle and they replaced it with a carbon Fibre rear triagle which made me happy for a while...
Until the carbon fiber separated from the aluminum on the chainstay :( I warranteed the bike a third time and then sold it in frustration. Fortunately by this time I had been riding my Enduro for some time which is an excellent bike.
| The other bad news is that the 2002 frame had even more problems with chainsuck than the 2001 frame (which was bad). Overall I was pretty happy with the bike but between the cracked frames and the chainsuck problems there is no way I am going to ever get a Fissure or Trek bike again. |
The Silver Bike is my Old 2001 Sugar 3, It was my first ride and I enjoyed it until I cracked the frame right above the pivot on the seat tube. Gary Fissure's warrantee policy is OK so they replaced it without too much trouble, however it took about 6 weeks to get the bike back.
| A complete separation, the first of three, Bummer.. |
