Craziest Cool Race Ever

March 13th, 2006 by Ogre

The Cool Race is always crazy but this year took the cake. Not only was there 6”+ of mud but there was more than 8” of snow plus it snowed and rained on the race. Snow, big creek crossings, tons of mud, it’s enough to make my toes numb sitting here at my desk. I’m not big on racing and not fond of mud so I wasn’t there, but I wanted to tip my helmet to those who were. Here’s some folks from MTBR who raced... The thread starts a bit slow but if you read further down there are lots of race day stories and pictures of the snowy mayhem. There are also a ton of pictures on the Prairie City Racing Site.
