Thirty Miles Auburn Style
On Saturday morning a bunch of us hit the trails in Auburn. Nine of us were at the trailhead, some I’d never met, (Bill, David, Curtis, and Al) and some I’ve known for a while (Fred, Bob, Jim, and, Curtis). Rumor has it that the Ogre showed but I didn’t see him anywhere.
Update:Ride Photos are Up!

Lots of Miles in the Dark at Lake Hogan
John Pimlot and I rode at lake Hogan last night, he got over to my place around 4:45 but we had to hook up his light and I had to lube my bike so we didn’t leave until 5:15 and we got to the Lake at around 6:00PM. We parked at a day use area a few miles before the Bear Creek trailhead so we could geta few extra miles of climbing in (there are some fun road climbs/ descents on the way). When we set out it was still light enough that we didn’t turn the lightsuntil we reached the Singletrack at Bear Creek.

In the Air Again

So I decided to take a little time off from flying. The little time turned into a couple months, I kept finding excuses to not fly. So finally with a little urging from my wife I set up an appointment this weekend.

Nightime Hogan insanity
Last night Mark and I hit Coyote Point Trail at Lake Hogan under a nearly full moon and it was a blast. I was concerned about riding the upper trails but it turned out to be a blast. It got pretty scetchy up on the ridge because the trail is so unused I got mixed up several times. Downhills were wild in the dark.
